PSG makes a bold move with a €100 million offer for Napoli star

PSG has made a €100 million bid for Khvicha Kvaratskhelia, the winger from Napoli.

Kvara, the Georgian star, has been pursued by the Parisian club for several months. The top attacking player for Napoli is expected to fill the void left by Kylian Mbappe.

According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, PSG has submitted an initial offer of €100 million to Napoli. This is a huge sum, especially in the context of major European clubs tightening their belts.

However, Aurelio De Laurentiis, the president of Napoli, has not accepted the offer. He remains firm that any club wanting Kvara must pay €150 million to break his contract.

PSG may not stop here and could make a second offer soon. The reigning Ligue 1 champions are confident they can secure Kvara. The 23-year-old has expressed interest in becoming a key player for PSG next season, according to the French club’s promises.

Napoli is also struggling to keep Kvara. The team, currently 10th in the Serie A standings, is at an impasse in contract renewal negotiations with the 23-year-old winger. Kvara wants a salary of €5 million per year, while Napoli can only offer €4 million.

Kvara joined Napoli in July 2022 for a transfer fee of €10 million from Dinamo Batumi. In less than two years, his transfer value has increased by 150 times.

This shows Kvara’s rapid rise, from an unknown player to one of the top wingers in Europe. However, the 23-year-old has shown signs of slowing down this season with 44 appearances and 11 goals. Last season, Kvara performed more impressively at Napoli with 43 matches and 14 goals.
